Briseia's arms and armor are practical and well maintained, without frills or excessive adornments. Her gear is what one could expect of a knight errant. She can seem wide-eyed and naive, what she knows of the world comes from what she has read about it, not from experience. She serves the Light dutifully, and her faith is pretty much all she has, but she is very curious about the world and eager to learn.
Briseia grew up on the heavy metal stories of the Five Paladins - Uther, Dathrohan, Tirion Fordring, Gavinrad and Turalyon. These five heroes of old are her guiding stars.
War orphaned at an early age, Briseia was saved by a draenei knight. She was found in the smoking ruins of some town, somewhere in the northern Eastern Kingdoms. The knight brought her to safety in Stormwind, where she was given the moniker of her savior - Briseia. Her earliest memories are of a kind soothing voice, and a bright healing light surrounding a figure clad in plate armor.
Under orphan matron Nightingale’s tutelage, Briseia grew up, wanting nothing more than to be a part of the order of knights that protected Stormwind. She dreamed of it during the lonely nights in the bunk room, read books about their heroics, and worked daily to show herself worthy of being taken in as a squire. When the two paladins Stormwell - Phillip and Fiona - came to the orphanage to select new initiates for the order, Briseia found her daily prayers answered, as she was picked out.
Imagine a training montage, Briseia lifting weights and running, praying and singing hymns to the Light, sparring with her master Phillip Stormwell, and you get the idea. She was dutiful, and worked hard, but it all happened within the sheltered walls of Cathedral Square, and the few outings she had with her teacher didn’t show her much of the world. During the nights, she continued to read and re-read the old stories of the founding paladins of the order, and imagined herself one day astride a golden charger, shoulder to shoulder with other knights, saving poor orphans from the horrors of war.
She’s had to temper her desire for heroics for years, as her master did not consider her ready to see the world. Now, having recently received full honors of knighthood, she is out on her first adventure - a pilgrimage around the world to see the holy sites of the Light.
